Major attractions

The Castle
 

The Bonoris Castle is one of the most important buildings, it was built over the ancient Rock at the end of the 1800 by the count Gaetano Bonoris.

 

It lies within a vast park and it also offers its visitors a remarkable Italian garden from which you can enjoy a view of the  entire town.  

 

The interiors present precious wooden  pieces of furniture, wall paintings of great visual impact and a magnificent chapel where Civil Weddings can be celebrated.  

Saint Pancras Abbey

 

The most significant monument is Saint Pancras Abbey which is located on the Hill in the southern part of the historical centre. The building with three  naves  was built in stones and dates back to 1100. It is one of the best preserved Romanesque Abbeys in Northern Italy, probably built over a temple of pagan devotion

Our Square and our Basilica

 

In our beautiful Square tourists can relax and chill out at beautiful outdoor cafés. Here you can visit our Basilica built at different stages in the 18th century. Inside, a remarkable painting representing “The Last supper” by the famous painter, the so called Romanino, must be seen and appreciated.

Museums

 

A first quality system of important Museums offers tourists a wide and interesting choice: The Lechi Art Gallery presenting more than 200 masterpieces from the 16th century, the Pasinetti Art Gallery, the War museum, the Archeological Museum, and the Bergomi museum.

The Theatre
 

The small,  magnificent Bonoris Theatre  is located  right below the Castle: it was inaugurated on October 18th 1890 with the opera “Il trovatore” written by the famous Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi and it offers a variety of excellent shows of different genres (opera, plays, concerts).
